Hanging out at Jenni’s place today!

Today I’m over on Jenni’s Blog talking about my breast feeding experiences!

I first met Jenni in June at the Spring PNW Blogger Meet-up. She may be one of the friendliest people on the planet. And also? Maybe a tad bit crazy. She runs like 4 different websites, plans events and oh yea, she’s a mom too. {Ok, maybe my saying she’s crazy is actually just a wee touch of jealousy.} I was so honored that she even thought of me to participate.

I love learning about different experiences from different ladies and no two stories are ever the same. Whether it’s breast or bottle or some combination thereof, I love it when women can stand up proudly and say “This is was worked for my family and I’m owning it!”

Anyway, please, go. Check it out. And while you’re there, click around and read about some of the other ladies she’s featured.

Thanks for letting me participate, Jenni!!

{And yes, for those of you wondering. That is an actual photo of me feeding Reese. And no, I never in a million years would have thought I’d be sharing that on the internet.}

I just…yea…

I don’t even know. I feel so out of it this week. Like…how is it already Friday but then again, holy crap, thank goodness it’s finally Friday.

Work has been kinda hectic, I guess, but really nothing out of the ordinary.

“home life” has been relatively easy this week…Andy had Monday off work. Tuesday he was home before the girls & I were. Wednesday was totally normal. And yesterday, while we didn’t get home until later than normal, it really was no big thing because we were just hanging out at my mom’s house after she cooked us a pre-Thanksgiving Turkey dinner.

So…what gives, right!?

I wish I knew.

I just want to take a nap. Or sleep in past 5:30 AM. Or both.

Yep, I’m hoping that both of those things happen tomorrow.

I’ve had a dull, achy headache for the last three days. I swear, I am physically incapable of getting to work on time on Fridays.

I feel like I’m in a haze today.

Basically? I’m a hot mess.

A hot mess that needs a nap.

BUT…I have two cute girls that are pretty good at putting a smile on my face. So I looked through the pictures on my phone…

Bathtime Reese. Her smile seriously makes me gush.

Rylee is obsessed with her new pink, sparkly shoes. 100 Mommy points for me. {Thank you Zulily for the $7 shoes}

Ry is becoming quite the photographer on my phone. Naptime courtesy of last weekend. It’s a thing in my house.

I created a monster with this…now she ALWAYS wants to be carried on my back.

Oh yea…it’s election day.

So…today I’m voting. And it’s not because I want to. But because I have to.

Seriously. I hate politics. And pretty much everything that surrounds them.

Probably because I have no strong feelings/affiliations one way or another.

I am registered as one particular party, but have been known to vote for the other.

I tend to be economically conservative but socially liberal. But not always.

I’m small business minded. I’m married to a teacher. I have a lot of family & friends in law enforcement. I own guns. I could give less than two shits about sexual orientation/who you choose to marry. And I’m a woman, so of course there’s that to consider as well.

Oh yea, I’m also one of those assholes that thinks anyone on public assistance should be regularly drug tested.

So you see? Somewhere in the middle. {Again, the blog name is not just some clever title.}

Actually, in Oregon, we vote by mail so really, I could have voted weeks ago. But I’ve been putting it off because I hate it so much.

But, I’m doing it because it’s my civic duty to vote. And not just mine, but ours too.

So, seriously. Go vote.

Because if I have to do it, so do you.

So.Many.Cuss.Words.

I am so-so-so super duper frustrated right now!

There are so many bad words going on in my head right now, it’s kind of ridiculous.

If I typed out exactly what I was thinking right now I would probably offend a lot of you. And embarrass my dad. And then my mom would probably call me out on facebook. {snort! 10 points to those of you that know what I’m talking about}

I’m working on a project for work. We’ve revamped our pricing. So I need to recreate 2 different spreadsheets so the look good. From there, each of those has 4 different pricing structures that need to be stylized as well. 10 spreadsheets that need to look pretty. Oh yea, and you know…have correct information!

I was working on the second one of them on Friday at 5 PM. I was about 2/3 of the way through it at that point and was just going to stay at work a little late to power through. Only to realize that most of everything I had done was wrong. The info was wrong.

I said bad words out loud. Luckily, I think I was the only one in the office upstairs at that point.

I opted to shut things down and call it a week.

Came in to work this morning only to remember that I had to start completely over. There’s construction going on directly outside one of my walls…as in they’re framing in a wall and tacking it into the existing wall. SO MUCH BANGING! AND CLANGING! AND DRILLING! In order to make my eyes not strain so hard, I’m using an auxiliary screen hooked to my laptop. It’s overheated my laptop twice now, completely shutting it down.

It’s 4:45 and I’ve finished 2 of the 8. It’s been that kind of day.

And I needed a break from said project. So you got my word vomit.

You’re welcome.

I think I may have a drink when I get home.

I had a pretty fun weekend. Hopefully I’ll have time to blog about it tomorrow.

Oh, and I looked pretty cute today. Why has no one told me how awesome wedges are before!?!

Sooo…Happy Monday?

Sisters much?

WHY DOES LIFE NEVER SLOW DOWN!?!?!

Sorry, just had to get that off my chest. This week has felt crazier than normal. I also feel like I’ve been saying that a lot.

This year, November means two things.

1. I have a 4 1/2 year old. FOUR AND A HALF!

2. I have a 4 month old.

How the deuce does this keep happening!?

A couple of days ago I got lost down the rabbit hole of looking at baby pictures of my girls. Seriously, I could do it for hours and hours. Since the day Reese was born nearly every single person has commented on how much the girls look alike. I definitely agree and I thought it’d be fun to do a little side-by-side comparison of the two.

This one is 6 weeks. Ry on top, Reese on bottom.

Both girls, 6-ish weeks. Ry on top (photo done by Bliss Studio).

Both girls about 7 weeks. Ry on top.

Both girls about 8 weeks. Ry on the left.

And two of my all-time favorites of my girls. Both about 3 months. Ry on the left.

Holy crap we make cute babies, ammiright!?

I’m excited to watch them grow up and see how much they look alike when they get older. When I was pregnant with Reese, I really hoped they’d look alike because that is one of my favorite  things about my sisters and me. People have asked us before if we’re triplets.

On a completely unrelated note, yesterday was November 1 and the kick-off to my personal “style challenge”. We’re bringing back Working with Style over on Liberating Working Moms so I thought it’d be fun to try and do a month of no outfit repeats and document it. Repeating pieces is ok, just no direct outfit repeats. Want to play along?? I’ll be snapping pics and sharing them on instagram with the #officefashionshow hashtag.

On another, completely unrelated note, tomorrow Lindsey & I are headed up to Portland for the PNW Blogger Holiday Party! I’m looking forward to some fun with some awesome ladies, some good food, DRINKS and also? Sleeping in past 6:30 AM. It’s making me want to do high kicks and chair dancing just thinking about it!!

Have a good weekend everyone!
