Oh Hello Spring!

Yesterday? Well, yesterday was one of the very best days ever. Period.

First of all…it was Tuesday. And Tuesdays have been long known as my very favorite day of the week. Mostly because it’s Taco Tuesday in our house and NCIS night!

Last night though? Woah. I ended the evening feeling incredibly blessed.

I left work right at 5:00 PM because the sun was shining and Andy was home working outside.

Rylee and I got home and this is what we did for the next hour…

We smelled the one and only daffodil that has bloomed in our yard…

We waked down by the pond to see all the hard work Daddy did that day…

Rylee picked flowers for me…

We spent lots of time at the swing set. Also? When did my BABY learn how to pump her legs!?

Even Dante hung out with us.

Rylee wanted to make sure I had a turn too. So she pushed me…

Then it was Daddy’s turn…

It started to get a little chilly, so we headed inside and Rylee helped me make tacos. After dinner, we had ice cream cones! Here’s how this went down:

Ry & Andy eating their ice cream cones. I had a dish of ice cream.

Ry: Mommy, you going to wash this cone when I all done?
Me: No Ry, we don’t re-use the cones.
Andy: Rylee, you eat the cone…like this ::takes a big bite::
Ry: ::eyes wide:: GASP! OOOOOHHHH!!! Hahahaha!! O-tay!

I pretty much died of the cute right then and there.

We wrapped up the evening with a brand new episode of NCIS and amazing family snuggles.

See? The best day ever.

I apologize in advance if these blog posts and faceook updates have started to annoy you…the “liking” ends on Monday, so this is the last time I’m going to ask…promise!

Rylee has recently become obsessed with Yoga…or “Oga” as she likes to call it.

My daughter is clearly nothing short of a future yoga master.

I suppose yoga means different things to different people. For me, yoga is a time to be peaceful and mindful of my body. Rylee and I like to do oga together a few times a week. It helps us clear our minds…errr…calm down…and Clearly, that’s what’s happening in this video…despite the Cheap Trick playing in the background, the washing machine going off balance and the crazy cat-cow action.
That’s real life people.
If you’re not familiar with the art of yoga, you may be confused with what Rylee is saying at the end of the video. Namaste is said at the end of all of my yoga classes. Literally translated it means “I bow to you”. It is a form of respect and it “allows two individuals to come together energetically to a place of connection and timelessness, free from the bonds of ego-connection. If it is done with deep feeling in the heart and with the mind surrendered, a deep union of spirits can blossom.” {source}

You guys remember this picture? It’s pretty much my FAVORITE.photo.ever.

{Although, I have to give all the credit to my sister for this one since she took the photo}

Anyway, another one of my FAVORITE things? Modern Bird Studios!

{They make amazing custom art. Seriously…go check them out…I dare you not to fall in love with them!}

So, really, how awesome would it be if two of my favorite things combined into one?

I entered this photo into a Modern Bird contest where if I win, they’ll make this photo into a one-of-a-kind piece of art!

This is where you come in…

There are over 150 entries for this contest!

The way it works is Modern Bird has posted all of the entries into an album on their facebook page. The top 10 images with the most “likes” by the end of the allotted time period will then be judged by a panel who will choose the ultimate winner.

All you have to do to help is like Modern Bird on facebook. Then go to their contest album and like my photo. It’s that simple! 
If you’re feeling extra supportive, you could even ask your friends to help me out. ::side eye::

Fun with Clouds

You guys? I love clouds.

I snapped these images from my back step last weekend using the bracketed feature on my Nikon D5000 and then edited them using HDR Pro in photoshop.

See? There’s always a silver lining…sometimes you just have to make one with photoshop. :)
