Oh boy! Lincoln at 3 months.

Our sweet boy turned 3 months old on January 1. Hard to believe yet it feels like he’s been a part of our family forever. I still get the occasional “holy crap we have a SON” thing but less so than when he was first born.

No clue how much he weighs or how long he is. At his 2 month check he was 11 lbs., 12 oz. and his next appt is at 4 months. My best guess? 12-ish pounds.

Likes: me, the swing, chewing on his fists, hanging out on his changing table

Dislikes: napping for longer than 30-45 minutes unless he’s in the swing of course, eating from a bottle. {Homeboy is in for a rude awakening come Monday.}

He Rolled over for the first time on 12/30.

Giggles started on 1/3! Oh there’s nothing better than baby giggles. And cue the ridiculous, annoying antics to try and get him to do it as often as possible. {Sorry not sorry.}

Sleep: every night I go to sleep thinking “maybe tonight is the night he sleeps through” and then every night I snap awake at the sound of baby cries over the monitor. It is getting progressively better. He goes to bed about 7:30, give or take 30 minutes depending on when we sit down for dinner. He nurses then I put him in his crib. Usually without crying. There’s normally one wake up anywhere between 1 AM and 3:30 AM. I feed him and he goes right back in his crib. Then he wakes up again about 4:30/5:30. Not to eat though. So we end up in the living room where he falls back to sleep in the swing and I snooze on the couch until my alarm goes off for the day.

Overall now that he’s out of the “newborn” stage he’s a pretty happy baby. He’s perfectly content chilling in his bouncy seat or swing or playmat. He just wants to know you’re close.

He’s settled nicely into his role of third born and we really couldn’t imagine life without him, or before him.
