Rylee has been in daycare 2 days a week for the last 2 months. She is really starting to enjoy it! Every month, they make an art project. In September, it was apple trees made out of Rylee’s hands, October was a “haunted house” with a ghost in the doorway made of Rylee’s footprint. I can’t wait to see what November’s artwork is! Another thing they do is color pictures. So, we have started doing that at home too. She is still working on getting the hang of crayon on paper, but she enjoys playing with the crayons and does a little scribble here and there. Putting her in her high chair with some crayons is a great way for me to get dinner made without interruption!

Double Fistin’ Already!?
I hope this isn’t a glimpse into what we are in for in years to come with our Monster! We were having lunch last weekend and Rylee had a milk cup and a water cup and had to have both to go with her grilled cheese sandwich. We were sitting around the table after we were finished eating. I jumped up to grab the camera when Ry decided it would be a good idea to try and drink from both of her cups at once. It was hilarious and she of course couldn’t figure out what Andy and I were laughing at which made it even better.
Amazing What a Year Changes!
I was looking at some older posts the other day and saw one that I posted almost a year ago exactly. So, I figured I’d do a side-by-side comparison and see just what a year changes in a baby/toddler. In some ways Rylee is so different and grown up, but in so many other way, she is exactly the same. She still makes the same faces and expressions. She is amazing!
Fall means Football Season!
Auntie Kristen (surprise, surprise) surprised Rylee with a new Beaver T-shirt and hat! Trying to get Rylee to slow down to take a picture can be difficult, and yes, I did chase her into the bathroom to get this one! It’s a game for her. The other night, I was making dinner and caught her sitting on the love seat watching the game…she seemed to enjoy it, and as Andy put it, it’s practically educational; she can learn numbers and colors!
Happy Halloween-2009!
This Halloween, Rylee was a ladybug. Grammy bought her the costume back in September. Every Thursday after that, Rylee would wear the costume over at Grammy’s house! I ended up and had to work on Halloween, so Andy dressed Rylee up and to take Grandma Rice grocery shopping. Rylee ended up and got a KitKat bar at the gas station! Since I didn’t get to see her dressed up, before bed I put her back in her costume and tried to snap a few photos. She was not very cooperative, so I did what I could!
