Fashion Police Friday – September 10, 2010

Oh how I love the outfits my little 2 year old little wonder chooses. Last weekend was no exception. Saturday when she woke up with an awful cough and drippy nose I had decided to forgo the family BBQ in Florence we were supposed to be attending. I did have to run a quick errand to work (remember, I forgot my family rules). Since that was the only thing we had planned I let Ry pick her own outfit. Since it was a little chilly out and since she wasn’t feeling well, I told her she had to wear pants. Everything else? Was all her…

So, she’s wearing grey and white striped leggings and a vintage adult size Pepsi shirt that was made into a kiddlet sized onesie by a friend who knows how much Andy loves Pepsi! Oh, and we can’t forget her boots. Oh how she loves her boots.

A love-hate relationship…

Hey Blackberries…

Yes, I’m talking to you…
You suck.
You know why? Because you’re so damn fun to pick and eat but it means that Summer is almost over that’s why. Summer is perfection. It shouldn’t have to end. Ever. I love to hate you and hate to love you. So there.

Do me a favor. If you agree with. If you don’t agree with me. If you are a regular follower. If you’re not a regular follower. If you think my kid is adorable. If you feel sorry for my kid ‘cuz you think she’s hideous. Just do me a favor and click this link below. I’m about to drop off the 4th page and while I’d like to say I don’t really care, guess what…I do. Oh, and if you’re really wondering…I would only need a mere 4,465 votes to be #1…so…get to it!

Holy Windstorm Batman!

It has been pouring all day here…at least I think so, I don’t look out my office window very often. On my way home from work the wind was gusting like crazy. I could feel my car being pushed toward the center line. Anyway, when I got home, I opened up the garage to get the BBQ out (yes, we had shish-kabobs on a day like today–hello!, we’re from Oregon!). My super awesome sis had brought down some grape hyacinths from her yard for me to plant and they were still in the garage so I decided to go put them out in the garden…at least they’d get watered with all the rain! What did I happen to see? This…

My little greenhouse had been knocked over in the storm. So I picked it back up. So much for all my hard work. Well, it’s a good thing my mom not only has one green thumb, but two (and 10 green toes) and about  billion starts already going in her greenhouse(s). I made sure to let Ry know that all of her watering efforts from the weekend were not in vain…I got plenty of cute pictures!

And yes…she is wearing purple capris, purple short boots, a pink hoodie and a red tu-tu.

Declaration of Independence!

When I told Ry to pick out  a pair of pants to wear this morning, she decided a skirt was a better idea. Forget about the fact it’s pouring down rain. I went with it anyway and made sure to put some leggings on underneath. She actually asked me to put her hair in a pony this morning too, of course she didn’t sit still long enough to make it look half way decent, but I went with it. Then, it was time to leave…and she decided she wanted to wear her boots. After yesterday’s battle, I went with it…and took a picture! So begins the times of strangers looking at my child and wondering to themselves “and who dressed you this morning!?” Whatever, I’ll go with it!
