Has it really been over a month since our last Rylee update? Wow, we have had a busy Fall! Rylee has been growing up a lot and fast lately. It’s hard to believe that she is almost 18 months old. She is really starting to try and talk. We have noticed that she will say a new word here and there such as “outside,” “dog,” “chicken,” “birdie” but then you can’t get her to say that word again. Currently, Rylee is really into reading books and she loves animals. She knows all kinds of animal noises; bee, lion, elephant, gorilla. One of her favorite books is “From Head to Toe” it is all about animals and what they do. There are quite a few posts to do some catching up…including pumpkin carving, Halloween, playing outside and coloring. Stay tuned!

While Andy was home with Rylee all Summer, they had a lot of time to just hang out. Andy taught Rylee all kinds of cool stuff…”what does a gorilla do?”, how to throw things in the trash, how to switch the laundry, etc. This one is by far my favorite thing! Rylee’s nickname is “monster”…she literally answers to it. Make sure your volume is turned up!

For Labor Day weekend, we packed up the car and headed over to visit Brian and Katie. This was about 2 weeks before Katie’s due date (happy to announce the arrival of baby Connor as of 9.17!). We laid low most of the weekend, but did head over to a school/park near the Vernon’s home. Rylee had a blast running around and playing on the slide.

It’s hard to believe the 4th of July was nearly 3 months ago already! This is about the time Rylee started her “helping out” phase…she’s in full force now. She drops whatever it is she’s doing, just to help mom and dad. Her favorite things to help with are laundry, throwing things away, shucking corn and giving Dante his treats. She’s a big helper! A couple of these shots are of Rylee helping mix up the pancake batter. She was having a blast!
