Time to Color

Rylee has been in daycare 2 days a week for the last 2 months. She is really starting to enjoy it! Every month, they make an art project. In September, it was apple trees made out of Rylee’s hands, October was a “haunted house” with a ghost in the doorway made of Rylee’s footprint. I can’t wait to see what November’s artwork is! Another thing they do is color pictures. So, we have started doing that at home too. She is still working on getting the hang of crayon on paper, but she enjoys playing with the crayons and does a little scribble here and there. Putting her in her high chair with some crayons is a great way for me to get dinner made without interruption!

Way to work on those fine motor skills young! Coming from the mouth of a teacher… of course! We used to get kinders who had never used a pencil before! Her day care sounds neat. Where does she go the other day? I'm trying to figure out what to do for next year… hmm.gaby
